Beautiful old book with black leather boards & gilt edging. Raised bands to the spine with ‘Common Prayer’ & decoration in gilt. Pages are a little browned as to be expected of a book of this age. Contains 49 of 55 engraved plates.
Pencil note to front page suggests it may have been rebound c.1840. Also has the names of several members of the ‘Borrow’ family who clearly owned the book for some time, certainly between 1854 to 1950 plus an added note concerning a George Henry Borrow 1803-1881. Contains 49 of the 55 engraved plates. Please see all photos for condition.
