An early edition of the King James version of the Bible, which first appeared 8 years prior.
19th century inscriptions at front of Thomas and Martha Shakeshaft, of Ravenstone.
Condition: Hinges cracked but boards holding, some chipping and edgewear. Text trimmed tightly by binder often shaving some text at margins and partially removing marginal footnotes. Some occasional small stains and/or finger-soiling, a few 19th century inscriptions or markings in places, dedication leaf at front with tissue repair, 3H1 chipped at corner with partial loss of three verses, final leaf laid down. Sold as is.
