This bust has excellent detail.
ROBINSON & LEADBEATER WERE PARIAN MANUFACTURERS FROM 1865-1924.
The name “parian” is based on the white marble from Mount Elias on the Greek island of Paros. Robinson and Leadbeater produced parian ware of a superb quality. They only produced parian and did so for longer than any other manufacturer.
This is a 7 3/4 inches Tall Robinson and Leadbeater Parian Bust of Charles Spurgeon.
Charles Haddon Spurgeon was an English Particular Baptist preacher. Spurgeon remains highly influential among Christians of various denominations, among whom he is known as the “Prince of Preachers”.
The detail of this bust is crisp and well defined and the Parian is smooth. Sculptured originally by John Adams Acton in 1878.
This Robinson & Leadbeater Parian Bust of Rev. CHARLES SPURGEON is in very good used vintage condition. There are no breaks, cracks, or repairs. There is one chip, on his lapel, as shown in the photos.
