The KJ Holy Bible in English with annotations composed by the late Reverend Mr. Ostervald, 2 vol. in 1, engraved frontispiece, 69 plates and 5 maps and plans, final f. torn and creased, with minor loss, foxed, occasional staining, contemporary calf, gilt spine in compartments and with red moroco label, upper cover detached, worn, folio, Carlisle, Printed by and for J. Harrison, 1778.

Dark Brown full leather, red and black leather label. Six raised bands on spine, front board detached.

⁂ Rare unrecorded edition. ESTC records two other editions printed by Harrison (1777 and 1779-1780), with one and two copies recorded respectively.

Provenance:  Wilson or Willson. Robert and Alice Wilson, of Carlisle, England (19th century family inscriptions to front free endpaper and leather bookplate – Robert & Alice Wilson Manchester).
