The ancient manuscripts of the Bible that we have today are copies of the originals, but research and new discoveries have continued to demonstrate that these copies have accurately preserved the text of the various books of the Bible over the centuries. The copies have what some call “errors”, but a more appropriate word would be “variations”. The variations do not present major theological or historical discrepancies, and radically different variants are obvious modifications or additions. In most cases, it is simply a spelling error, a minor grammatical change, or an accidental omission.
We have gathered below a few of the vast amounts of manuscripts that have been found. To get more information on the scripts found in the image simply click on the photo. Enjoy! And if you have questions send them using our contact form.
"You didn't have to worry about copying something that was chiseled in a rock, but it’s pretty hard to evangelize the world carrying a lot of rocks around with you. And so, from the beginning you had the copying of manuscripts." - James White
